Fr. Varghese
Pudussery CMI, Ph.D., is the Founding Director of Santhwana
Institute of Counselling and Psychotherapy, which was started in
1990 at Chittoor Road, Kacheripady, Ernakulam.
He is a rank
holder for his graduation from Bangalore University.
He has his
Master’s Degree in counselling from Duquesne University,
Pittsburgh, U.S.A.
He took his
doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy from M. G. University, Kottayam and has
four years of post-doctoral counselling experience in
Toronto, Canada.
He has
published fourteen books and many articles on counselling and has
brought out an audiocassette and CD on relaxation both in
English and Malayalam.
He has given
several Radio speeches and TV Programmes on counselling topics.
He has
conducted training programmes for Navy Officers, Bank Managers,
Company Executives, Members of Judiciary, College Teachers and
students of various universities in and abroad.
He has
traveled widely in North and South America, Europe, S. Africa,
Middle East and China, covering twenty five countries.
He has
twenty years of practice in counselling and psychotherapy.
At present
he is the President of Kerala Counsellors’ Forum (KCF), a
registered body of practicing counsellors from all over the
State.
